PCR and ArcelorMittal Acindar have commissioned the country’s first hybrid wind-and-solar park in San Luis.
With an investment of USD 230 million and a total capacity of 130 MW, the facility combines wind and solar generation to supply clean electricity to more than 250,000 homes.
This type of project marks a key step forward. Energy hybridisation makes it possible to maximise the use of existing grid infrastructure, balance generation between day and night, and improve system stability.
In a country with abundant wind and solar resources, integrating both sources not only boosts efficiency but also strengthens energy security.
